AIPA Fall Contest Information

NEW PRICING: $5 per entry for AIPA members/$10 per entry for nonmembers 

Do your best work and collect it throughout the school year. Below is the process for entering the AIPA Fall scholastic journalism contests. Winners will be announced at the AIPA Fall Convention.

ENTERING THE CONTEST: 

We are now utilizing the Wild Apricot system for membership, contests and conventions. Please follow the directions listed here carefully. Questions or having difficulty registering or submitting entries? Email [email protected].

1. JOIN AIPA: USE THIS LINK to join AIPA if you are not already a member. Any school can enter the contest, regardless of membership status, but you get the best deal if you join AIPA! Your annual membership begins on the date you register; you will receive a reminder to renew when your membership is coming to an end. Members can check renewal status and find invoices using the AIPA Wild Apricot login information you received when you signed up.

2. Prepare your entries as pdfs or url links. (Label your entry according to the title of your entry and category (i.e. N2_SunriseMountain_KristyRoschke_HomecomingQueen).

3. Register for the contest: USE THIS FORM  at our membership portal at Wild Apricot. You will share the total number of entries you are paying for on this form, which will generate an invoice that will be emailed to you. You can also print the invoice for your own records.

4. Access the link(s) below for the correct contest category form(s) to submit the details of your entries by June 30th.

5. Mail payments, hard copy general excellence entries, and other correspondence to:

NOTE: For the General Excellence contest, Yearbooks, Lit Magazines, News Magazines, and Print Newspapers can also be dropped off at the Fall Convention check-in table BEFORE the opening ceremony begins.

General Excellence entries for yearbook, lit magazine, news magazine, and print newspapers should use the same entry FORM above, and the yearbook, lit magazine, news magazine, print newspapers should be brought to the Fall Convention  or mailed to: AIPA – Contest Coordinator, 3241 E Shea Blvd. Suite 174, Phoenix AZ 85028-3365. If you mail your yearbook, lit magazine, news magazine, or print newspapers, they must be received at the address above by August 31.

Delivery options for Yearbook General Excellence entries:

You may bring your yearbook to the AIPA Fall Convention where you can leave it with the contest coordinator before the opening ceremony begins.

You may DROP OFF your general excellence entry by the deadline if you coordinate it with us. To arrange a drop off of hard copies, email [email protected]
